Our 1st Wedding Anniversary

Saturday, February 17 was our 1st anniversary. Mom and dad had organised a homecoming and anniversary party for us and invited family and friends over. The party was held at the Easley church of God fellowship hall and was a wonderful and loving night. Everyone who came was beautiful and very supportive, and the hall was nicely decorated and the food was delicious. It felt like our wedding night except this one was big - we received a lot of attention and of course lots of gifts to help us start our new home - We are excited!!! We feel soooooooooo happy to be home and being welcomed by such loving, caring and supportive family and friends, and we are very grateful to God for a wonderful year and look forward to the years ahead. Thank you very much to our family and friends for making us feel welcome and at home. Here are some pictures from that night.

After the party, mom and dad had arranged a place for us to stay at Myrtle Beach for a week - this was our honeymoon as we did not get to go after the wedding:) We had a great week at the beach. We will post some pictures soon...

Life in Pickens County

Even before the snow, a few weeks ago, we drove around a bit and saw some of Pickens county.

This is a restaurant behind mom and dad's house that I like to call my place.

And then this is from the top of a small mountain nearby. It's called Glassy Mountain.

Then we went by a house that Mom grew up in. This is beautiful country side.

And on the way to Glassy Mountain and the old house in the country we passed by this funny farm, where they raise Llamas. I didn't even know what these creatures were, so this place was really cool to me!

A white Carolina?

We woke up Thursday morning with snow on the ground. We went outside at 6:30am while it was still snowing, so that I could enjoy it falling for the first time. I was soooooooo excited and played like a little kid. Jarrett was very happy for me too. Apparantly it wasn't much, as far as snow goes; only about an inch and after the sun came up it was only cold rain falling. But it was a great experience, and I look forward to seeing snow again. It almost makes it worth being cold!!! :-)
